While digging through my old photos, I found that I had enough images of my visit to the famous Jean Philippe Patisserie to make a post. The bakery is famous for its enormous chocolate fountain and its world champion pastry chef.
When I first heard about the largest chocolate fountain, I imagined a giant chocolate fountain statute. Instead, this fountain is more like a series of pipes that go through much of the bakery, including the ceiling, with chocolate flowing through the whole thing. Not what I was expecting, but still pretty interesting looking.
The patisserie serves gelato, and some of the most gorgeous cakes/pastries I have ever seen. The place also sells a lot of candy and other confections, and has a tv showing beautiful wedding cakes it makes. The cakes are some of the most elaborate, beautiful cakes I have ever seen.
When I visited, the staff was super friendly. My friends and I sampled quite a few cakes, and they were all delicious. It was at this patisserie that I was first introduced to the french macaroon. A chewy, cookie-like dessert. Delicious!
Here are a few of the delicious desserts we sampled:
If you haven't visited the patisserie yet and you like desserts, I recommend you check out Jean Philippe Patisserie, located in the Bellagio.
