Tastefully Simple and a Giveaway

Update: please note this giveaway is now closed. Congrats to Debbie (#26) who won the giveaway.

Happy Monday! Or not…Here’s my attempt to make Monday a little better with this giveaway.

I recently was provided with a few Tastefully Simple products to sample from their spring/summer line: 29 minute citrus marinade, shiitake terriyaki sauce, and bell pepper focaccia bread mix.

I love trying out new sauces. The citrus marinade is easy to use. You just use it for about half an hour to marinate whatever you feel like. I decided to marinate some salmon before grilling.

I was most intrigued by the mushroom sauce. I was surprised to find the sauce chock full of mushroom pieces.

The sauce looked perfect for a stir fry so I scooped a few spoonfuls into a beef and broccoli stir fry. I got a kick out of finding the little mushrooms mixed in with the broccoli and beef.

I haven’t yet gotten a chance to try the focaccia bread but the mix seems easy enough.

The sauces are great to use for some variety in preparing some easy dinners.

Tastefully Simple has also been generous enough to offer one of my readers a chance to sample the same products I did as well.

Giveaway Details: Deadline for this giveaway ends April  2, 2012 at midnight PST. One winner will be randomly chosen through a number generated by random.org. There are two chances to enter:

1. For one entry, leave a comment at the end of this post telling me which of the three products you are most interested in trying.

2. For an additional entry, like my blog on Facebook and leave a comment on the FB post. Then leave a separate comment on this post telling me you’ve entered via Facebook as well. (You can still enter through FB even if you previously already liked my blog.  Just leave the comment on the FB post and tell me you’ve done so through a comment at the end of this post.)

Good luck! Winner will be contacted via email. The products will be sent by Tastefully Simple.

The citrus marinade seems interesting. Do you have to grill the salmon or baking it would be sufficient. I currently cook salmon now with pesto sauce and parmesan cheese and freshly ground pepper so a marinade might be an interesting twist.

The teriyaki sauce, does it taste like teriyaki sauce?

Your articles and reviews are always interesting.

You can definitely bake it! I just wanted to try grilling it. Yes, the teriyaki sauce tastes like teriyaki sauce infused with shiitake mushrooms.

I heart mushrooms!! So, yep, that’s my first choice. :)
Although either the marinade or sauce sound good. Unfortunately I am allergic to bell peppers …but my boyfriend and I have a mutually fulfilling eating situation. (He eats anything I don’t.)
