Oreo Cookies and Cream Chocolate Bark

I love how easy it is to make your own chocolate bark. It’s been one of those candy items I’ve always refused to buy since it’s so ridiculously easy to make.

I don’t often have the urge to make it but when I came across an Oreo/Cookies and Cream version, I had to give it a try, given my obsession with Oreo desserts.

Normally I don’t like eating large quantities of white chocolate because it’s so sweet, but if you’re working with Oreos, the dark chocolate or even milk chocolate just doesn’t look the same.

This candy is easy peasy. You melt some chocolate in the microwave, add some crushed oreos, smooth it onto some parchment paper, add some more oreos for decoration on top, and into the freezer it goes. When it’s set, you can break the chocolate sheet apart. Eat it all or wrap some up to share with your friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white chocolate melting candy
  • 6 oreos crushed into small pieces with hands
  • 2 oreos crushed into small pieces with hands (for topping)

Instructions

  • Melt chocolate in microwave safe bowl for about 1 minute. Stir with wooden spoon until smooth. You may need to melt chocolate slightly longer to be able to get it to be completely smooth.
  • Stir in the 6 crushed Oreos. Line a small baking pan or sheet with parchment paper. Pour out chocolate onto parchment paper and spread out until 1/2 inch thick sheet using spatula.
  • Sprinkle remaining crushed Oreos on top. Freeze until chocolate is set. Keep remaining uneaten pieces in fridge or freezer to prevent meling.

  1. HI Kirby, Do you think this could be made a few days in advance and frozen, then brought to room tempterature on the day its needed? (Essentially reversing what you suggest above) Thanks

  2. This looks delicious! Do you need to remove the Oreo frosting or can you keep the frosting in the bark?

  3. That looks amaizng! Does melting candy have to be used, or would melting white chocolate chips suffice?

    • White chocolate chips should work too. I like using melting chocolate candy because it melts easily in the microwave and has a whiter color. A lot of times when I buy the white chocolate chips, they are more of a cream color, but they should still work.

  4. Omg this looks SO good!

  5. Yum! We don’t really have chocolate bark here in the UK but I’ve always wanted to make some because it’s just sooo easy! Love this combination!

    • Oh yes, you should definitely make it yourself since it’s hard for you to get in the UK. This is my favorite combo to date. Love cookies and cream anything.
