Ultimate Brownies

I wanted to create one special sweet treat for this weekend’s Game Day. But there’s so many sweets I love…So I came up with the ultimate brownie. Well, my ultimate brownie.

A layer of Oreo Cookie crust, followed by a layer of Biscoff spread, then a thick layer of fudgy dark chocolate chewy brownies, embedded with mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, finished off with a drizzle of Nutella. Am I missing anything? Perhaps I should have added some toasted marshmallows…

In any case, these were as good as I had hoped. You could taste every single element and this brownie basically combined almost all my favorite things into one. Love love love.

I was afraid it might not all stick together, but it did. I baked it in my brownie edge pan of course. It made it a little trickier to remove, especially because of the Oreo crust, but they still came out.

I will definitely be making this one again. Perhaps I’ll even add a few more things next time.

Ultimate Brownies

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
These decadent brownies have a layer of Oreo Cookie crust, followed by a layer of Biscoff spread, then a thick layer of fudgy dark chocolate chewy brownies, embedded with mini Reese's peanut butter cups, and are finished off with a drizzle of Nutella. They're my ultimate brownies!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of your favorite brownie mix plus the eggs, oil, and water as required from brownie box (I used dark chocolate Betty Crocker)
  • 1 cup Biscoff Spread
  • 1 cup Nutella spread
  • 1 cup mini Reese's Peanut butter cups
  • 22-24 Oreos finely crushed in a food processor
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Make brownies according to box instructions. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the crushed Oreos and melted butter until combined. Grease a 9 x 13 bake pan or a brownie edge pan. Press Oreos into bottom of pan. Firmly press and pack the Oreos down, (should be able to compact to about half the height you started with). This will prevent the crust from crumbling after it's done baking.
  • Melt Biscoff in microwave for about 20 seconds, making it easier to spread. Spread a thin layer over surface of Oreo crust.
  • Pour brownie batter over Biscoff spread, spreading evenly across. Scatter peanut butter cups across, pressly gently on them so they sink halfway into the brownie batter. Bake according to brownie box instructions (about 30 minutes).
  • Let brownie cool completely (several hours) before cutting, otherwise brownies will crumble. Before serving, melt Nutella in microwave for about 20 seconds. Pour Nutella into a piping bag and drizzle Nutella over surface of brownies. Cut and serve. Share with friends and family if desired.

  1. wow, this has EVERYTHING in it! you have serious sweet tooth there! 🙂

  2. These look like heaven…all my favorite things in one brownie! Love the Nutella drizzle.

    • I was super happy with how these turned out. I thought it might all be too much, but it worked and still manages to stay in a compact form.

  3. What is biscoff spread? What else could I use instead?

    • Biscoff spread is a cookie butter made from a popular biscuit cookie from Europe. You should definitely try it out. It’s available at most grocery stores in the US now. But you could just leave it out of this recipe. It’s not essential, it’s just something I love that I added to the recipe.

  4. Yikes. Those look good. So much yummy packed into one brownie!

    • They were good! I thought maybe I’d only eat one or two since they are so rich, but I ate way more than that! haha. Loved being able to taste all of the ingredients in there too.

  5. Wow that looks awesome! They turned out so pretty, too 🙂
