Valentine’s Day Ideas

My email box has been full of Valentine’s specials, events, etc. DH and I usually have a pretty low key Valentine’s Day so I wasn’t planning on doing a round-up of ideas, but there were a few that really caught my attention that I wanted to share.

Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill  Take Home Pizza Kits – $6.50

Photo provided by Sammy’s

This caught my attention because it’s cute, you can make “homemade” pizza for your loved one, and it’s relatively cheap.

These kits will be on sale at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill from February 4th through 14th. To order your pizza kit, contact the Sammy’s location nearest you, www.sammyspizza.com/locations.

Sammy’s will also be hosting a photo contest on Instagram. Customers are invited to upload their best heart-shaped pizza photo with the hashtag #iheartsammys and be entered to win dinner for two at any Sammy’s location.

Valentine’s Day Pizza kits start at $6.50 each and include:
– Crust Options: Traditional, Whole Wheat, Gluten Free
– Add-ons: Pepperoni ($1 extra)
– Includes: Pizza dough, Mozzarella Cheese, Sauce, Basil, Recipe/Instructions, a $5 Off $20 Sammy’s coupon

Cocoa Lounge- All you can eat chocolate dessert buffet ($18 per person)

Every year, the Island Hotel in Newport Beach features a cocoa lounge during February where you can indulge in a chocolate dessert buffet. I’ve never been before, but I plan on checking it out this year.

The cost is only $18 per person or if you dine at the restaurant first, then it’s $12 per person. The cocoa lounge runs through February 17. You can read more about it here.

Swoon Dessert Bar

The Swoon Dessert Bar will be opening on February 12 in San Diego. I have been eagerly anticipating its opening, which includes dessert tasting menus on weekends. They will offer a 5 course dessert tasting menu, plus a few extras, on February 14th for $30. You can view the menu here. They’ve also posted some other dessert tasting menus for $16, involving 3 desserts, which I believe will be available on weekends.

So that’s all I have. I know there are a lot more events/specials out there, but these were the ones that caught my attention.
