Trader Joe’s October Edition

I always love shopping at Trader Joe’s in October. They have some many exciting products and always go all out with their pumpkin themed items.

Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter

Trader Joe’s always has one really big pumpkin hit every year and this year I’m predicting its the Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter. I was so excited when I saw this product and it did not disappoint. The obsession with pumpkin can sometimes lead to products being pumpkinized that come out more gimmicky than tasty, but this is not the case here. The pumpkin adds a festive orange color to the spread and really ups the flavors of Fall spices.

I’m so obsessed with this pumpkin cookie butter and I plan on eating both jars by myself, by the spoonful. No sharing.

Ghost Pepper Potato Chips

See? I bought items that weren’t pumpkin too. Ghost peppers are extremely spicy and I usually stay away from anything that involves them. However, the Fearless Flyer promised that they wouldn’t be too spicy to handle, so I decided to give them a try. I love the lattice cut. I wish all chips were lattice cut. They are also kettle cooked making them extra crunchy.

As for the spice? It’s definitely there, but not overwhelming. It allows you to appreciate the complexity of the pepper without suffering. I really enjoyed these.

Pumpkin Tortilla Chips

I was excited to see this item as I was a big fan of their sweet potato tortilla chips. Made with pumpkin puree and pumpkin seeds, these taste almost like healthy mixed grain tortillas. They have a hint of cinnamon too. They weren’t quite what I was expecting, but I enjoyed them.

Pumpkin Pie Mochi Ice Cream

One of my favorite pumpkin items from Trader Joe’s. I already love mochi ice cream, and this pumpkin pie ice cream flavor is pretty unique. My only wish is that they would use their super premium pumpkin ice cream for the filling.

Another item I always look forward to every year. Trader Joe’s makes my favorite pumpkin ice cream. It’s classified as super premium, meaning a lot of fat, which makes it very creamy and rich.

Pumpkin Bagels

I remember seeing this item last year and being curious. So this year, I decided to give them a try. I haven’t yet had a chance to try these yet, but when I do, I’ll be sure to smear the bagels with Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread.

This is always on my must-get list. The pumpkin spice flavor is sweet but not overwhelming.

Decorative Gourds

How cute are these gourds? I couldn’t resist choosing a few for my house.

Pumpkin Blossoms

I love decorating my dining table with these every year. They are so festive and the pumpkin blossoms are adorable. They last a really long time too.

The giant pumpkin and sugar pumpkins are also from Trader Joe’s. One is for carving and one is for making some more pumpkin recipes.

That’s the end of my haul. Let me know if I missed something that I should go back for!

  1. You don’t buy the pumpkin body butter? I stock up every season! I think it smells more like apple cider spices than pumpkin, but it definitely smells like fall to me and it makes me happy every time I use it in the morning.

  2. Oh, I should go back and look for those tiny pumpkin blossoms!  I love how those look!

I was there a few days ago and actually bought ONE pumpkin item but not for myself. It was the pumpkin mochi ice cream. TC and Bert really liked it. I was tempted to buy the Ghost Pepper potato chips but was scared of how hot it could be. Maybe I’ll get that next time since you said it wasn’t so bad.

    • I didn’t find the ghost pepper chips to be too spicy. So def try it out! And yes the pumpkin blossoms are so fun! they usually last until November for me. I get them every year

  3. October is my favorite month at Trader Joe’s! They also have these mini pumpkin ice cream sandwiches with ginger cookies. They’re a little soft but my absolute favorite!

  4. I haven’t seen the pumpkin mochi yet, booo! My TJ’s ran out. I felt iffy about the pumpkin cookie butter but maybe I’ll go and snag it now!

    • I was wary about the pumpkin cookie butter, but I’m so in love with it! it’s just this really intense pumpkin pie spice favor plus all the crunchy cookie butter pieces.

  5. So fun! That’s it. I am dragging the toddler to TJ today!
