Kirbie's Cravings

Double Nutella Oreo Cookies

Okay, I’m not really good at coming up with creative names for desserts. Everything I thought of for these just sounded super cheesy.

But whatever I should have called them, these cookies are really good. The two cookies I’ve been craving the most lately are Nutella cookies and Cookies and Cream cookies. So I decided to combine them, satisfying both cravings at once. It was definitely the right decision.overhead photo of a stack of Double Nutella Oreo Cookies
These cookies came out fudgy, chewy, and delicious. I’ve been eating them all week. I’ll have to make another batch soon.

If like like dessert bars you might like my sugar cookie bars, too. Or try my pumpkin Nutella swirl cookies that are soft and fluffy.

These cookies with Nutella and Oreos are fudgy, chewy, and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 8 oreo cookies crushed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x8 baking pan with parchment paper. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until dough is formed.
  • Remove half the dough and set aside. Add crushed Oreos into the dough remaining in the mixer and mix until oreo cookies are mixed throughout the dough. Remove cookies and cream dough and set aside.
  • Put back in the remaining dough and add in 1/2 cup Nutella. Mix on medium speed until Nutella is completely mixed into the dough. Put dough into baking pan. Press down and spread until it evenly covers surface of pan. Place cookies and cream dough on top and do the same.
  • Bake about 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top begins to turn golden. Cool before cutting and serving.

  1. Hey I’m going to make these in school but I wanted to know does the dough have to be soft or quite stiff and can you use your hands to mix the Nutella and cookies I to the dough?

    • I think it will be hard to mix this dough by hand. It’s especially hard to incorporate the Nutella evenly without a mixer. Hope that helps!

  2. made these but the cookies are quite gooey and oily. what have i done wrong! arghhh

  3. Can i use 9×9 square pan instead? What are the adjustments  do i need to do? Thanks

    • I think you should have enough dough to stretch to a 9 x 9, but your bars will be much thinner. As for time adjustments, it will likely cook a little sooner, by a few minutes, but I don’t know exactly how long. You’ll just need to keep checking on it towards the end

  4. I’m making these for my family and I’m egg free so I’m using a different cookie dough recipe which doesn’t use eggs  (it’s also a peanut butter cookie dough ) just wondering but do you think it will still work? Thanks ! I fell in love with this recipe ever since I first saw it!

  5. hey I am definitely trying this out, but to make the dough you only used a beater you didn’t used your hands?? how you made it smooth and not crumbly

  6. How many cookies does it make? I definitely want to try to make them. They look and sound delicious 🙂

  7. Made these today to bring into work.. I already ate a good portion. This is delish!! I added extra Oreo cookies and love the crunch factor!

  8. Hi, these cookies sound delicious and I’d love to make them,It’s just that I don’t understand the measurements.Could you be more specific?
What kind of glass are U using.I mean, how much is a cup of butter,or Nutella, etc. Please enlighten me.

  9. Oh my goodness this was amazing! I ended up adding about 1/2 a cup of extra Nutella and it was heavenly! The bottom layer was soft and chewy, and the ores later was crunchy. I will definitely be making these again!

  10. I did all 2 and three quarters of whole wheat flour because Im crazy like that. They’re in the oven right now with 7 minutes left to go. hehehe. I also made the bottom/nutella half BIGGER and obviously added more than just a half cup of it. Ill let you know how it goes later! xxx

  11. These are awesome!! I ended up dialing the sugar down, and went with 1 cup instead of 1.5–the general consensus here was that a cup and a half of sugar + the oreo cream was a bit too much. I also subbed in 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, because why not. Yummm…

  12. How many people does it serve? I have to make something for 13, and I really want to make this, but I don’t know if I should double the ingredients or not? Or even triple? 😀

    • Well the recipe makes enough to fit in an 8 x 8 pan. I don’t know exactly how many cookies that is, sort of depends on how you cut it, but you get probably about 9-12 pieces depending on the size you want.So you might want to double the recipe.

  13. I made these for my room mates last night and they were delicious. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

  14. Yum..they look great!

  15. Those look REALLY good – and not just ’cause it’s almost 4 PM and I’m starting to think about dinner… (Now if they just had some peanut butter in them or on them they’d be perfect, because everything’s better with some peanut butter!)

  16. Two of my favorite treats! And I have everything that is needed to make this on hand :o)
