Evolution Fresh Juice

The beginning of the week is when I try to eat the most healthy: a lot of vegetables, some juicing, etc. Time to balance out all the sweets, fried foods, and other unhealthy eats from the weekend.

Recently, I was invited to try Evolution Fresh’s new line of green juices as part of their 3 Days to Green Movement campaign. The idea is to drink one of their juices a day for three days and you can visit their website to win various prizes (you get bonus entries for entering the upc code from the juice bottles). There are four flavors to choose from and each is made of over 1 lb of vegetables, has no preservatives, and contains less than 10 grams of sugar per serving.

The juices come in the following flavors: Sweet Greens and Lemon, Essential Greens, Organic Sweet Greens and Ginger, and Smooth Greens. I found mine at Albertsons for $3.99 per bottle (retail $4.99).

My favorite colors are green and purple so I love the vibrant green color. I wasn’t able to find all four flavors, but I tried three of them and each one had a pleasant taste. They weren’t sweet, but they were smooth and healthy tasting. And drinking one bottle a day is easy. I drank mine with lunch. It felt really great to know I was getting my day’s worth of vegetables simply by drinking the juice.

I made Mr. K try the juices as well since I’m always concerned that he isn’t getting enough greens in his diet. When I told him the amount of vegetables he would get by drinking them, he totally was on board, preferring to have these with a meal rather than me cooking him plates of vegetables.

I love trying out different types of cold pressed juices and I’m pretty happy with the Evolution Fresh juice line. They are affordable– at $4 a bottle it’s easier for me to buy one than to buy 1 lb of different vegetables, wash and cut and then juice them; and I like that they don’t contain too much sugar. You can learn more about the 3 Days to Green Movement here. And their campaign with prizes runs from January 2 through February 28.

Please note:  I’m participating in the Evolution Fresh blogger campaign and received compensation as part of the program. As always, my opinions in this post are all my own.
