Wanderlust Creamery (Los Angeles)

Wanderlust Creamery is a popular artisanal ice cream shop with two locations in Los Angeles. The creamery is known for their internationally inspired flavors.

In addition to nearly a dozen signature flavors available daily (including ones like mango sticky rice and japanese neapolitan), there are also several seasonal flavors to choose from as well.

They have two cone flavors to choose from, regular and ube.

I really enjoyed the flavors we had, especially the mango sticky rice and Japanese Neapolitan. The mango sticky rice tasted very much like the Thai dessert, with actual sticky rice mixed in and with hints of the sweet and salty coconut sauce that is usually poured on top of the rice.

The Japanese Neapolitan is a mix of three flavors: matcha, hojicha, and black sesame. I love all three flavors normally so I enjoyed having them mixed together.

I did find the ice creams a little on the icy side. I also thought the ube cone was a little too hard, making it difficult to bite through and eat.

Overall, I enjoyed the unique flavors offered here. I do wish the ice creams weren’t as icy, but I think it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.
