Kirbie’s Cravings is now hiring!
Kirbie’s Cravings is looking to expand its team and hire three part-time assistants: an editorial assistant, a social media assistant and a cooking assistant.
EDITORIAL ASSISTANT
Job Description: This person will review and update Kirbie’s Cravings’ recipe posts to correct for formatting, optimize for SEO, and provide nutritional data and metric conversions.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Location: This can be a 100% remote position.
Compensation: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: May 2018
Qualifications: Must have experience writing and proof-reading recipes. Previous experience with cookbook editing is a plus. Must have experience with SEO optimization. Looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented and an excellent writer.
Responsibilities:
- Proof-read and correct formatting for old recipe posts.
- Update recipe card data to optimize for SEO.
- Calculate estimated nutritional data and metric conversion for recipes.
SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT
Job Description: This person will help monitor, maintain, create content and grow Kirbie’s Cravings’ social media channels.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Location: This can be a 100% remote position.
Compensation: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: May 2018
Qualifications: Must have significant experience with all social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat and YouTube. Previous experience managing social media accounts as a food blogger or with a PR firm is a plus. Looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented and an excellent writer.
Responsibilities:
- Help to monitor and maintain social media accounts.
- Create and schedule content for social media accounts.
- Research and discover best strategies for growing social media accounts.
COOKING ASSISTANT
Job Description: This person will assist in cooking and baking Kirbie’s Cravings’ recipes in preparation for photo and video shoots.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Location: This person must reside in San Diego and be able to travel to on-site location.
Compensation: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: May 2018
Qualifications: Must have significant cooking and baking experience and can easily follow recipes without assistance or supervision. Professional cooking experience not required. Previous experience in food styling or food blogging is preferred. Looking for someone who likes eating and has an open and adventurous palate.
Responsibilities:
- Cook/bake recipes in preparation for photo shoots and videos.
- Help style food in preparation for photo shoots and videos.
- Test new recipes for Kirbie’s Cravings.
