Baked Tofu Fries

These tofu fries are inspired by ones we had at a restaurant, but instead of deep frying them I bake them in the oven so they are healthier. They are a quick and easy snack!

Ingredients

  • 2 blocks firm tofu
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice tofu into 1/2 inch thick sticks, so that they resemble french fries. Using a few paper towels, attempt to squeeze as much water out of the tofu fries as possible. 
  • Lay tofu sticks onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top of the fries with olive oil and then sprinkle salt and pepper on top. Bake for about 20-30 minutes until fries are golden and outside is crisp. Eat immediately.

Notes

You can add some different seasonings and play around with the flavor of these tofu fries and it's fun to switch up dipping sauces, too.
