Biscuit Beignets

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Servings: 16 beignets

These biscuit beignets are fried fluffy squares of deliciousness. They're a cross between a donut and a traditional beignet and make a great brunch item.

  • 1 can Pillsbury regular pizza crust (see note)
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for dusting

  1. Roll the dough out to a 7 x 8-inch rectangle and cut it into 16 squares.

  2. Add oil to pot being used for frying, about 2 inches deep. After oil is heated, drop in a few of the squares. Let squares cook a few minutes on each side, until both sides are golden.

  3. Remove finished beignets and place onto a plate lined with paper towels to soak up excess oil. Repeat with remaining dough until all beignets are cooked. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
