Nutella Sugar Cookies

These cookies are chewy, sweet, with a light taste of Nutella.


  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of Nutella


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, Nutella and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll dough into balls about one inch in diameter and place onto cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Using palm of hand, flatten cookie balls into round discs.

  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cookies finish cooling before removing from cookie sheet.
