Margarita Mug Cake

These margarita flavored mug cakes can be cooked directly in margarita glasses, making them perfect for a party!


  • 4 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp tequila
  • 2 tbsp fat free milk
  • 1 tbsp liquid margarita mix
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp lime zest
  • recommended: make a little frosting by whipping heavy cream with a little concentrated powder margarita mix to enhance the flavors of the cake


  1. Combine all ingredients into an oversized microwave-safe mug. Mix with a small whisk until batter is smooth.

  2. Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute. Surface of cake should be dry and knife inserted should come out clean. Let cake cool a few minutes before eating. Cake is best consumed within a few hours after making.
