CRISPy “FRIED” CHICKEN

(NO FLOUR OR FRYING)

Crispy chicken that looks and tastes like fried chicken except that it doesn’t require any frying. This is a very easy way to make baked fried chicken that tastes as good as fried but without all the work.

Easy Recipe

First, you will want to pull and stretch the chicken skin so that it completely covers the drumstick, thighs or wings.

Then toss the chicken in baking powder. If adding salt (or other seasonings), mix it in with the baking powder.

Place the chicken on a prepared baking rack. Bake at 450°F/232°C until fully cooked and the skin reaches desired crispness. Click through for  Air Fryer Directions!

Recipe Notes

* Aluminum free baking powder is recommended. * The chicken should be consumed soon after it is cooked. It does not stay crispy as long as traditional fried chicken.
