Fluffy lemon donuts are easy to make and only take about five minutes to prepare. These easy lemon donuts are great for breakfast, brunch or dessert.
Mix yogurt and lemon zest together, then stir in the flour, a little at a time, until a dough forms. The dough should be slightly sticky.
Form loose dough balls and add them to preheated oil. Cook until both sides are golden brown, flipping halfway through. Place onto paper towels to soak up excess oil.
When donuts are no longer too hot to touch, you can roll them in regular sugar or dust with powdered sugar. They are best eaten within a few hours after they are cooked.
