An easy cake recipe using just pantry staples. This cake is perfect when you need a cake fast.

Easy Recipe

Whisk flour, baking powder, salt and sugar until evenly combined.  Add in vanilla, oil & half of the water. Whisk until batter is smooth.

Once smooth, add remaining water and whisk again until batter is smooth.

Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Bake for about 38 minutes or until cake is very lightly browned on top.

* You can use melted butter instead of oil. I think butter gives the cake a slightly better texture and flavor.

Recipe Notes

* This cake can also be baked in an 8 inch round cake pan.

Wonderful with buttercream frosting!
