Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease and line a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
Combine flour, sugar and 1 tsp salt in a bowl. Add beer and stir until combined.
Spoon mixture into pan and sprinkle top with cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes or until loaf sounds hollow when base is tapped.
Notes
I don’t specify the type of beer in the recipe because you can use pretty much any kind. Consider the flavor when you choose one and pick one that you like to drink.
Heavier beers like stouts will give your bread a strong and rich beer flavor while beers like lagers will give the bread a lighter flavor. Because of the cheese, I don’t recommend using a beer with a lot of fruity undertones as it may clash with the cheese.
