If you’re out of flour, eggs, butter, or oil, you can still make cake using a box of cake mix and just one other pantry staple. I'm going to share 4 ways to make this delicious 2-ingredient cake.

Easy Recipe

WHITE/YELLOW CAKE MIX + APPLESAUCE

Skip the eggs and oil and use applesauce instead. The cake is moist and delicious!

CAKE MIX + CLUB SODA/SPARKLING WATER

This combination will work with any cake mix flavor. Chocolate is my favorite!

CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX + SODA

You can use any flavor of soda and the cake is fluffy & incredible!

CAKE MIX + GREEK YOGURT + WATER

Try this option with lemon cake, red velvet or chocolate!

You don’t even need to add the eggs and oil usually required to go along with the mix to make your cake.
