Planters Men’s Health Nut Mix
I recently was provided with some complimentary samples of Planters new product: Planters NUT•rition Men’s Health Recommended Mix.
It’s quite a mouthful of a name isn’t it? I keep just calling it “Men’s nut mix” for short. The mix is designed specifically for men’s health and it’s supposed to be viewed as a more “manly snack.” Planters teamed up with Men’s Health magazine to create the mix. I was provided with one canister, and several individual on-the-go packets.
Even though it’s targeted towards men, I personally was excited to dig in. I love pistachios, almonds, etc. I like snacking on them because they are a filling snack, are supposed to help reduce belly fat, and provide other healthy benefits.
The nuts were very crunchy and only lightly salted. I hate it when the mixed nuts packages are too salty. I had a hard time stopping myself from eating the entire canister in one sitting, so I was relieved to have the individual packets to limit my intake.
Since this is supposed to be a manly snack, I sent FH off to work with a few packets. He enjoyed them too.
I’m not a nutritional expert. Whether this particular mix is the best one for men or not, I really don’t know. I do know that having a handful of various nuts a day is good for your health and that I liked the taste of this combination. For those nutritional experts out there, here is the information on the packets:
