Baskin Robbins recently launched an online cake ordering system. It allows you to customize and order a cake from your computer, picking and choosing from a variety of cake styles, ice cream flavors, etc.
I was sent a small gift card to try it out.
The online system is pretty simple. First you choose the location you will be picking up your cake from. Then you choose your cake style. I’ve bought pre-made Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes many times (at least a few a year), and I had no idea how many types of decorations and styles they had to choose from. Here’s a screenshot of some of the options.
I went with the mini ice cream cones one because I thought the mini cones were so darn cute.
After you choose your cake style, you choose the size of the cake, the cake flavor and the ice cream flavor. You then choose the message on your cake (including the writing color) and then you pay your order along with choosing a pick-up time.
The cakes do need to be ordered at least 24 hours in advance, so keep that in mind. On the day of, I went in, gave the employee my name and the cake was ready to go.
It was just as cute as the picture. I didn’t have any upcoming birthday celebrations so we made this a Congratulations cake to celebration some recent good career news.
Inside, was chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate cake.
I found the online system really easy to use and it will definitely be the way I order my future Baskin Robbins cakes because I love being able to customize, see all the options, and taking as much time as I need to choose my options. You can browse the online ordering system here to see if your local store is participating.
Please note, as indicated above, I was sent a gift card to buy the cake. I was not further compensated for this review and my opinions are all my own.
? Yum yum ? yum ?
yummy! good job baskin robbins.
maybe for a small get together but for a big party i have to go with giant or costco or bj’s sheet cake.
Were the little ice cream scoops on top real ice cream or frosting?
When I was a kid, I always remember asking for a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake for my birthday parties.
They were real mini ice cream scoops.
