Iced Tea Margaritas (Teagaritas)

Happy National Tequila Day! To celebrate, I created these Iced Tea Margaritas, or Iced Teagaritas.

I had so much fun with my Iced Tea Sangrias that I started to brainstorm what other variations I could make. I was waiting around for some repairmen in the morning and decided to test this out. Probably not the best idea to be sipping on tequila and cocktails in the morning, but it sure was delicious. This drink is a great balance of sweetened iced tea and classic margarita flavors.

To help celebrate National Tequila Day, Casa Noble provided me with a complimentary bottle of their Reposado tequila to create a cocktail and that is when my Iced Teagrita was born.

Isn’t this bottle just gorgeous? I love the pretty blue.

You can taste the iced tea, as well as the sour lemon lime mix and tequila. This was super fun to drink. I topped it with some fresh fruit because it looked so plain and it is summer so I have to take advantage of all the fruit in season. I tried to keep in theme with the iced tea, so I paired the drink with raspberries, peaches, blueberries and lemon slices, which happen to be my favorite iced tea flavors as well.

The recipe below is for one serving because I mixed each cup individually. Of course you can mix a big pitcher at once if you want to.

Disclaimer: As discussed above, I was provided with a complimentary bottle of Casa Noble to create a tequila based cocktail. I was also provided a $20 gift card to Whole Foods to buy the necessary ingredients. I was not further compensated and my opinions are my own.

  1. This was delicious and refreshing. The next time I make it I think I’ll halve the simple syrup though, and maybe dial back the lemon and lime to an oz each.

  2. I could definitely enjoy a couple of these margaritas. Yum!
