Lindt Hello Collection

Lindt, one of my favorite chocolate companies, recently had a national launch of their Hello collection (it was previously only available in limited stores).

I was offered a few complimentary samples, which didn’t last long. I’ve shared my love for Lindt on this blog before. I love their truffles and chocolate bars. I’ve visited their outlet in Orange County. If I ever go to Switzerland, I’m pretty sure I’ll end up like Roger Federer in that commercial where he is going through airport security and his bag is completely filled with Lindt chocolates. (A situation I can completely relate to considering how many strange looks and thorough bag screenings I’ve gotten for bringing back food when coming back from my travels.)

And while I’ve always enjoyed the taste of their chocolate, this time I also really enjoy the packaging. Each flavor of the Hello collection has a different conversation starter. It’s like the chocolates are talking to me!

Inside, the individual pieces of chocolate have the cute conversation starters and hearts. It’s so adorable, it made me want to start writing hearts over my i’s.

And of course, the chocolate is good too. Smooth, rich and creamy. I found these noticeably creamier than their traditional chocolate bars and they were more like truffles, practically melting in my mouth. My favorite is the crunchy nougat because it has a crunchy layer inside. My second favorite is the cookies and cream. Rather than white chocolate with chocolate cookie pieces, there is actually a cookies and cream filling.

In addition to the full-sized bars, they also have minis. The minis have a larger section of filling and unfortunately we finished them before I could take a photo.

We really enjoyed these samples and now I need to go to the store to replenish our supply. I know they are available at Target and I’ll have to do some research on where else they are.

* Please note, as indicated above, I was given complimentary samples. I was not further compensated for this review and my opinions are my own.

  1. My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake. I am glad that Walgreens is now carrying them to since my closest Target was over an hour away.

  2. I remember I got a bag of the Strawberry Cheesecake ones for Jake for Valentine’s Day this year because he loves Strawberry Cheesecake. I like getting the mixed mini bag so you can try all of the flavors! Yummy stuff 🙂

  3. I got these at Safeway a few weeks ago and I thought they were super yummy 🙂 I agree that the strawberry one tastes too artificial, but I really liked the other ones! (especially the cookies and cream!!)

    • I’ll have to check out my local Vons. I didn’t say much about the strawberry one because I really don’t ever like strawberry chocolate, so I figured I didn’t like it because of personal preference, but it’s interesting to hear other people voice the same opinion

  4. I like that the mini’s have more variety. I would probably like these chocolates more if they were dark chocolate instead of milk.  The strawberry one sounds good to me though.

    • Actually the minis come in the same four flavors. It would be nice if they had a dark chocolate! but these are still really good

  5. Hmm, I haven’t seen the crunchy nougat at my local market, but I’ve tried the other 3, only liked the cookies and cream one. Strawberry Cheesecake tastes too artificial IMO and caramel was too messy… I wonder how hard the nougat one will be….

    • the strawberry one was my least favorite but then I don’t really like strawberry flavored candy/chocolate. I really like the nougat one though!
