Tuna Lettuce Wraps
Tuna lettuce wraps are an easy and healthy meal. They can be made ahead of time, are great for a meal on-the-go, and a good way to kick start your New Year.

These tuna lettuce wraps are made even easier with StarKist Tuna Creations pouches. The pouches are already pre-flavored so there’s not much you need to add to the tuna to make these lettuce wraps.
I recently tried StarKist Tuna Creations Lemon Pepper and all the new StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD flavors which include Hot Buffalo Style, Thai Chili Style, Jalapeno, Sriracha, Tapatio and Rice & Bean in Hot Sauce. It was exciting to try so many zesty flavors and I think they all work well as lettuce wraps.
My favorite flavors were Sriracha, Thai Chili and Jalapeno. The sriracha one is spicy, garlicky with hints of vinegar as well. It’s not overwhelmingly spicy. The Thai chili is both sweet and spicy, a flavor combination I love. The Jalapeno flavor has chopped up jalapenos inside giving the tuna a nice little kick of heat.
Each pouch is single serve, less than 110 calories, and ready to eat. You don’t need a can opener and you don’t need to drain. The pouches are flavorful enough that you can eat them straight from the pouch without having to add anything. Perfect for on-the-go busy days.
However for these lettuce wraps, I did make a few adjustments. I mixed in a little light mayonnaise to make the tuna a little creamier, like a tuna fish sandwich filling. I also added some lemon juice and fresh scallions to add some brightness and to break up some of the heat for the spicy flavors.
I also decided to add a drizzle of sriracha sauce to the sriracha flavored one to make it spicier.
I made a large plate of these in minutes and had enough leftovers to pack for our lunches the next day.
Tuna Lettuce Wraps
- 2 butter lettuce leaves, washed and patted dry
- 1 (2.6 oz) pouch Starkist Tuna Creations BOLD (your favorite flavor)
- 1 tbsp light mayonnaise
- juice of half a lemon
- 1 scallion, thinly sliced
- In a medium bowl, mix tuna and mayonnaise until evenly mixed. Squeeze a little lemon juice over tuna and stir into tuna. Taste and add more lemon if desired.
- Scoop tuna onto lettuce leaves. Garnish with scallions. Eat immediately or store in fridge until ready to be consumed.
