A few weeks ago, I paid another visit to Thai Pepper Cuisine. It's been one of my go to places for Thai food. The place usually isn't too full, the prices are reasonable, the staff is really nice. I don't know too much about Thai cuisine and haven't tried a lot of the more authentic foods.

I'm always interested in trying more of them, but when I dine out with my siblings, I stick with the traditional popular dishes because my siblings haven't really enjoyed straying from them.

The lady serving us was so sweet. It's been a while since our last visit, but she remembered me from last time. She also remembered my little brother and his girlfriend who had been there a couple of weeks ago to dine.

On this occasion, we ordered the chicken pad thai:

The lady serving us kept recommending the larb. She said that if you go to Thailand, larb is always served. I wanted to try it, but I wasn't sure my siblings would like it. But after much coaxing, I decided to give it a try. It was served with sticky rice, which I love. I like that it came in a little bamboo basket. The rice was wrapped in plastic wrap. It was very sticky and the texture was perfect for me. Not too hard and not too soft.

I enjoyed the dish and I liked the spiciness. Boyfriend said it had good flavor. No one else really seemed to like it though.

We also ordered the pad see ew with beef.

We also got the bird's nest special. I liked that the bird nest was crunchy. Some places will serve a stale nest, thinking no one eats it.

We also ordered pineapple fried rice.

For dessert, we shared a mango sticky rice. The mango was very sweet and the sticky rice had a good consistency. It wasn't mushy which I've had at other Thai places.

We also got a huge thing of rice with our meal

Here's some pictures of the menu:

  1. You should check out the King and I Thai restaurant in San Marcos! They have a wonderful drunken noodles and tom yum soup. Their sweet mango rice is superb there.

    • Thanks for the rec! San Marcos is a little far for me, but next time I’m in the area, I will keep that place in mind.
