One lucky winner will be provided with a a sampler of Saag’s sausages.
Saag’s is a business located in San Francisco, CA and creates premium quality specialty meats. While the company is based in San Francisco and their products are available in stores in the Bay Area, they are also available online as well. They make their meat in small batches, and don’t use any artificial flavors, colors, or MSG. They offer a variety of meat including sausages, salamis, and luncheon meats.
I fell in love with Saag’s when I tasted their meat at the Foodbuzz Tasting Pavilion. I was surprised that their deli meat was not overly salted like most deli meats tend to be. And their fennel sausage was so good, I had to go back for seconds. When I went home, I immediately gave my parents a coupon for Saag’s products and told them they should buy Saag’s meats from now on.
I spoke to two of Saag’s representatives at the Foodbuzz Pavilion and they mentioned that they would be happy to provide some samples for a product review. I thought it would be even better if I could give my readers a chance to try their products. So I contacted them about my giveaways, and they gladly agreed to provide one lucky reader with a couple of Saag’s sausages. They also agreed to provide me with a sample as well.
I arrived home one day to find a well insulated box, packed with ice, and inside were a whole bunch of sausage samples. I was so happy with the different variety, and to see the fennel sausages that I had loved so much from the Foodbuzz festival.
Photographing some grilled sausages didn’t seem to give justice to just how great these sausages taste. So instead, I made these sausage rolls using the Kabanossi Pepperettes, a skinny sausage that has is a mix of beef and pork and has a garlicy peppery taste. These sausages were absolutely perfect for these sausage rolls. You can view the recipe here.
Entering the giveaway is simple. One reader will be selected at random using a number generated by random.org. Saag’s will then contact the winner to get their shipping information and ship them a sampler of Saag’s sausages. Deadline for this contest is December 18, 2010 at midnight PST. Please note, this contest is open to US readers only.
To enter, leave a comment at the end of this post and tell me what Saag’s product you are most interest in trying.
