This dessert sandwich is stuffed with Nutella and marshmallow creme. It’s messy, gooey, and absolutely delicious.
Do you ever have times in your life where you are so busy that you feel like you need to tell yourself to breathe or you might actually forget? These last few days have been like that. I had a slight break from it this afternoon though, and I felt like I could finally take a deep breath. And eat a Nutella S’more sandwich. Call it stress eating, if you will.
Before all the craziness began, I did have time to go watch Super Hero 6, which was as cute as I thought it would be. What was equally adorable was the short film they played right before called “Feast.” I thought it was just going to be about a dog who loves food, but they managed to make a whole story out of it that was very entertaining and truthful. I definitely recommend seeing it if you get a chance.
Back to these sandwiches. I made them grilled-cheese style. I spread butter on the bread, then cooked them in a pan until golden. The filling is Nutella (lots of it!) and marshmallow creme, which you can buy at the grocery store. I love this stuff. It tastes like melted marshmallows. I then let the sandwich cook until everything was heated, melted and gooey. I even stuck it in the microwave for a few extra seconds to really get the marshmallow dripping. It was messy, but oh-s0-good.
Nutella S'more Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 8 slices of sour dough bread
- 1/2 jar JIF marshmallow creme
- Nutella spread
- 2-4 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Prepare frying pan and turn stove heat to medium-high. Spread a thick layer of Nutella on one side of each of the breads and butter on the other side.
- Place butter-side breads onto heated pan and press gently until the bottoms of the bread turn toasted and golden. Add a giant dollop of marshmallow creme to the center of half of the bread slices (on top of the Nutella). Take the other half of the slices and press on top. You can continue to heat the sandwiches in the pan until filling is melted and gooey. You can also remove from pan and place in microwave for a few seconds to really melt the filling.

Can I tell you that I loved “Feast” more than Big Hero 6?! Big Hero 6 was good, but Feast just stole my heart. I loved the little dog so much!
I think I liked Feast more too. haha! Actually Big Hero 6 was a bit sadder than I was expecting. I felt like they needed to play Feast again at the end to cheer me up.
These are FANTASTIC!!!
thank you =)
