Macchiato

During my last trip to Los Angeles, I visited yet another cute cafe.

In addition to latte art, this place also serves large macaron ice cream sandwiches.

Mr. K really liked this pattern on the menu and asked me to take a photo.

I ordered a matcha latte.

They made me a really cute bear. I really need to learn how to make latte art.

Here’s Mr. K’s drink.

Of course, we had to get the macaron ice cream sandwiches. We got a matcha flavor and a hazelnut flavor.

These came out frozen so we had to give them some time to thaw. Once they did, they were easy to eat. I thought these were pretty good. The macarons had a nice chew and held together pretty well.

I also really liked the service. They kept checking on us constantly and asking how we liked things. A far cry from our experience at Cafe Maji.

You can read about CC’s recent visit to Macchiato here. She’s actually the reason I went, after seeing her photos of those macaron ice cream sandwiches.
