I haven’t yet had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans, so I haven’t stepped inside Sucré . But I got a taste of their famous macarons recently when they offered to send me a box and offered a box to one lucky reader too.
You know how much I love macarons right? I mean I spent half my honeymoon hunting down macarons. Sucré makes all sorts of sweets, but their macarons are one of their featured items and they ship their macarons nationwide.
I was so excited when my package arrived. The box itself is just gorgeous. I plan on keeping it to store things. Inside were rows and rows of colorful macarons. I received a signature 15 piece box, which contains eight flavors: Pecan, Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Almond, Pistachio, Strawberry, Hazelnut, and Bananas Foster.
The macaron shells were a little softer than I like (I prefer the chewier ones), but they were still tasty. I enjoyed all the flavors in the box, though I was particularly fond of the Bananas Foster mainly because of the pretty shell.
Now onto the giveaway. One lucky reader will receive a signature 15 piece box of macarons from Sucre. Please note, this giveaway is only open to US readers. Definitely salted Carmel! Sounds soooo good right now especially with it warming up! I would enjoy this with a gigantuan glass of milk!!!!

Can’t decide between salted caramel and hazelnut. I’m on a mission to try salted caramel from all the macaron places so I can compare.
Kirbie-you should go to Trader Joes and purchase their new assorted macarons box-12 macarons, 6 flavors. It’s pretty good, not the best, but definitely not bad for the flavor and price of $4.99
I would definitely want to try the strawberry one. Most of the strawberry macrons that I’ve tasted tends to be very artificial. I would want to try and see if this one is any different. I love strawberry as the actual fruit, but when it comes to baking, some of the baking goods turns out too artificial.

Tough choice but I think the strawberry is what I’d most like to try. I’d have to share some with my Mother (Almond flavored, especially). I’ve had meringue at Le Central in Denver but I’ve never had macarons before. I might just have to hunt some down.
