Nutella Milkshakes
For the last few weeks, FH has been going through a milkshake phase. Every day he wants a milkshake and he has been buying them like crazy.
I enjoy milkshakes, but once in a while is enough for me. The shakes are so thick, that I find it hard to finish one.
To save him some money, I decided to make him one. At first I was going to do a cookies n’ cream one, which is his favorite. But he’s been buying that one everyday, so I thought I’d do something different. And then I suddenly though of trying to do a Nutella one. Because I’m obsessed with putting Nutella in everything.

I made a vanilla ice cream shake and added some nutella. These tasted great. Since I don’t have any milkshake glasses, I was trying to decide what to put them in. I did a giant one in a regular glass, topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

Then I found these Old Spaghetti Factory souvenir glasses from a long time ago. I thought they were perfect to hold the rest of the shakes because they are tall skinny glasses, and they even bear the colors of the Italian flag.

| Nutella Milkshakes |
- 2 cups of vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 4 tablespoons of nutella
- Put all ingredients into a blender and blend for about 30 seconds until smooth. Serve immediately. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup if desired.

My hubby likes shakes too and I always have to remember to have the makings on hand because he asks for them at random! Nutella is a perfect shake ingredient in my opinion! Love that glasses

Too bad my husband is lactose intolerant! I like how simple this is – you can’t go wrong with Nutella. This would probably taste just as good with dark chocolate ice cream!
re: OSF glasses – wow, i haven’t seen those in years! nostalgia!

Ah that is really too bad about your husband. Being lactose intolerant totally sucks. Haha, I forgot I even had the OSF glasses! I was searching in my cupboards for something to pour the milkshakes into and found them.

These look superyummy! You really got me obsessed with nutella as well
I think I will make these and then warm them up so you have a nutella hot chocolate! (because the weather is horrible over here so we need warm things)

ooh, nutella hot chocolate sounds good. But it’s hot here, so I think I’ll wait until it’s cold for that.

Yum, Nutella and ice cream are the perfect combo, and I can only assume the milkshake is the same. I like those glasses. They totally remind me of the Old Spaghetti Factory we used to go to when I was a kid.

I did not know there was a way to make Nutella better than just smearing it on a hot piece of toast, but combining it with ice cream is taking it to the next level! Think that I will top mine with toasted hazelnuts to really bring out the flavor.

Toasted hazelnuts sounds like a great idea.

have you noticed a difference between the American version and the imported stuff?
Kirbie replied: — July 18th, 2011 @ 11:34 pm
Hm, I’ve never actually had the imported stuff. I never thought to try to see if it is different. Do you know where to get the imported stuff? Now I’m curious
