This creamy vanilla fudge is easy to make. It only needs 2 ingredients and you don’t need a candy thermometer or a stove. The fudge takes only a few minutes to prepare and stores well.
I love making fudge this time of year. It’s an easy dessert to serve or gift and it is a quick treat to satisfy any sweet cravings.
Ingredients
- Vanilla flavored white baking chips
- Condensed milk
Vanilla baking chips: Most white baking chips contain vanilla flavoring but you may want to double check the package description to make sure you choose one that is vanilla flavored. The baking chips are melted down to form the base for the fudge. You can also make this fudge with white baking chips that don’t contain vanilla flavoring–the fudge just won’t be vanilla flavored.
Condensed milk: Sweetened condensed milk is mixed with the melted chocolate, making the fudge creamy and smooth.
How to Make Vanilla Fudge
- Combine the baking chips with the condensed milk in a large microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave at 15-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Transfer fudge mixture to a parchment-lined loaf pan. Place into the freezer until set.
Expert Tips
- Melting white baking chips can be a little more difficult than melting other types of chocolate chips. I recommend using a premium brand and starting with a new, unopened bag. Some generic and cheaper brands don’t melt well. In addition, if your white baking chips are old, they also won’t melt well. We also recommend using a not-yet-opened bag because once the chips have been exposed to air, they also don’t melt well (so a new bag that you may have opened a few weeks ago won’t melt that well either).
- Avoid using white baking chips that don’t contain any dairy or dairy substitutes. We have found that dairy-free chips don’t melt or set well and will cause the fudge to be too thick and crumbly.

2 Ingredient Vanilla Fudge
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (268 g) vanilla flavored white baking chips see note before starting
- 1/2 cup (118 ml/141 g) sweetened full fat condensed milk room temperature
Instructions
- Line the bottom of an 8 x 4 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- Add vanilla baking chips and condensed milk to a large microwave safe mixing bowl. Heat in 15-30 second intervals, stirring in between with a spatula until baking chips are completely melted and the mixture is uniform. Your mixture will be very thick.
- Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan.
- Use a spatula to spread the fudge mixture evenly across the bottom of the pan. If desired, you can use the spatula to make wavy patterns across the surface.
- Place fudge into the freezer until set (about 30 minutes). The fudge is ready when it feels firm to the touch. Bring the fudge to room temperature before cutting with a sharp knife. Store uneaten fudge in the fridge or freezer.
