These one-bowl brownies are so easy to make! You only need a handful of ingredients, a couple of minutes to make the batter and the patience to wait for the brownies to bake. They are fudgy, rich and perfect for when that chocolate craving hits!
I had a serious chocolate craving this weekend. So, when I made a list of what I wanted to bake, chocolate was definitely on my brain and what better way to indulge a chocolate craving than with brownies? So, when I saw a recipe for easy brownies I had to try it.
I’ve always been a brownie mix fan because I love how boxed brownies always bake up chewy and chocolaty. But, I love experimenting with from-scratch brownie recipes because I’m always looking for a homemade brownie recipe that can take the place of my boxed ones.
These one-bowl brownies are easy to make and bake up so fudgy. I would definitely make them again. In fact, I made another recipe with one-bowl so be sure to check out my peanut butter brownies, too.
The best thing about this brownie recipe is that you only need one bowl. It’s almost as easy as making a batch of brownies from a box!
Ingredients
- Melted butter
- Unsweetened chocolate
- Granulated sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- All-purpose flour
Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir until smooth. So easy.
I baked my brownies in my Baker’s Edge Nonstick Brownie Pan*. I love this brownie pan because each piece bakes up with edges, which are my favorite brownies in the pan. Edge pieces are always a little chewier than the ones in the middle.
You can also bake the brownies in a regular 9 x 13” baking pan.
Once the batter is in the pan the brownies only need about 20 minutes to bake at 350°F.
Update: Want more brownie recipes? I’ve experimented with a lot more recipes since sharing these one-bowl brownies! A few of my favorites are my Best Fudgy Brownies, Dulce de Leche Brownies or Tiramisu Brownies.

No =( I had the recipe printed and ready to make and then discovered I was out of unsweetened baking chocolate. It’s on my list for this upcoming weekend now after I go buy the missing chocolate. I had a similar issue with trying to make red velvet pancakes this weekend. I was out of red food coloring. I am determined to make the brownies this upcoming weekend though!
Did you try it?
I agree. Now to find such a recipe.
Hells yeah. Chewy fudge style brownies all the way.
This recipe looks promising. I think I’ll try it this weekend. Thanks!
Since you like chewy brownies, you should try this recipe:

That’s too bad your oven is out of commission =(
I recommend the edge pan. I’ve loved it so far. My only regret is that I waited so long to get one!
You should get the pan! I really love it. Especially for chewy brownie recipes, it makes such a difference. Love the edge pieces!
I WANT YOUR PAN. lol. Even though the brownies are not as good as your mix ones, they look very delicious.
Oh, I’ve been wanting to get one of those edge pans. Course, my oven is out of commission right now. How sad for me. The brownies look awesome though!
