Happy Monday everyone!
First off, a winner has been chosen for my Starbucks giveaway! Congratulations to “Susan,” who left the second to last comment on this post and her number was chosen by random.org
Sorry to all the readers who really wanted to win, but didn’t. But don’t despair, another giveaway opportunity is here! And for this one, there will be three lucky winners!
I was recently contacted by a representative for Restaurant.com, a website that provides people with dining deals nationwide. The company offers restaurant gift certificates that you can purchase at a discounted price (for example, one of the most common ones I’ve seen is a $25 gift certificate for the price of $10), which you can then use at the restaurant.
There are many restaurants to choose from, and this gives people a chance to try out a new place or visit a favorite spot, at a discounted price. I’ve used restaurant.com certificates in the past with no problem. Currently Restaurant.com offers discounted gift certificates to 273 restaurants in San Diego alone.
To introduced more people to this website, Restaurant.com is giving away three $25 gift codes, which can be used to purchase dining certificates for any of the participating restaurants in the U.S. on their website.
Entering the contest is easy, simply leave a comment at the end of this post telling me what your favorite type of cuisine is when you dine out. For an additional entry, tweet the following message and then leave me an additional comment letting me know you’ve done so (I know I didn’t require the leave me a message telling me you’ve tweeted for the previous giveaway. Rest assured, I counted all the tweets, but I realized this way is easier so all the entries are in one spot.)
“Win $25 gift code to Restaurant.com https://bit.ly/lB8gfF @kirbiecravings”
Contest will run until midnight PST on Monday May 30, 2011. Every entry will be assigned a number and three numbers will be generated from random.org to choose the winners. Good luck!

I just found you through foodgawker, LOVE your site!
Favorite away-from-the-kids cuisine… Greek.
We have a fabulous Greek restaurant here near Minneapolis. But I’ll still go for the Olive Garden experience any day of the week.
Hi Nicole! Glad you found and like my site. Good luck in the giveaway!
Hmmm hard to choose a fave – most recently it’s been Thai. Yummy! Thanks for the chance to win.
Sushi is definitely a big one…but barring that, Vietnamese cuisine is pretty awesome also.
Korean food!! Yum!
I am a longtime lurker on your site, even though I recently moved to LA I still enjoy reading about the San Diego spots I left behind.
If I had to pick just one, it would probably be Thai.
Glad to hear you still lurk on my blog!
Japanese food is awesome!
I love asian vegetarian dishes!!
Noodle soup!! and pasta!!
We’re really up for anything when we go out- as long as it’s good!
I love to go out for Thai food! It is always best made by someone else! 😀
Still here, still lurking – love your site Kirbie, awesome giveaway!
I love that you are still lurking! I’m determined to so a CC survival dining guide this year.

I love going out for sushi!
i also like variety…but if i had to choose, then i choose thai
I love BBQ, especially buffets.
Probably some type of Asian cuisine
When I dine out, my favorite type of cuisine is Korean food!
I love variety, so tapas is my favorite.
Japanese is probably my favorite for dining out, but I couldn’t give up Indian or Mexican or Italian or etc 🙂
Chinese food and steakhouses are my favorite.
Japanese and New American are my favorite but I love trying out ethnic restaurants!
I also retweeted. 🙂
I’ll try any cuisine at least once, but I do have a soft spot for Italian and steakhouses. Restaurant.com certificates are awesome, you can try something new for less money. If you order certificates by going through Ebates.com first there is a cash rebate and often 80% off coupon codes (That $25 for $10 cert goes for $2.)
Oh I didn’t know about the ebates. Thanks for the tip!
Hmmm.. My favorite would be chinese cuisine. So many different delicious dishes!!
I love eating sushi or thai food when I go out!
