Top Recipes 2011

I had so much fun compiling my list of Top 10 Meals of 2011 that I thought about doing one for the recipes I’ve made this year. But I hesitated for a long time because I’ve tried many, many recipes and I just didn’t think it would be possible to narrow it down to ten.

But after reading many other top recipe list blog posts, it renewed my desire to compile a top 2011 recipe list. I went through my old recipe posts, and sure enough, I just could not narrow it down to 10. So I allowed myself some leeway and narrowed it down to 15. I also thought it would be interesting to compare what my favorite recipes of 2011 were compared to what my readers found most interesting. So I went ahead and compiled the readers’ favorites list too for a side by side comparison. Enjoy!

  1. Oh and I have to second Ann’s rec on Terra. I tried it once a few years ago during Restaurant week and always wanted to go back but never got the chance. The food was solid.

  2. You always have such cute food!

  3. good suggestion! I typically forget that FB is another great venue to connect w/ food bloggers, so thanks for the reminder 🙂

    • Yes, it’s nice to have this sd blogger community. You can ask questions on the fb page, find out about meet-ups, etc.

  4. You made some pretty awesome stuff this year! I love all the cute animals 🙂 So glad I found your blog this year–it’s great to know a fellow San Diego food blogger! I am looking forward to what you’ve got in store for 2012!
BTW My boyfriend and I celebrated NYE last night at Terra American Bistro in La Mesa (Chef Jeff Rossman?). It’s in a pretty unsuspecting neighborhood for such great food, and I was wondering if you’ve ever tried it! We really liked it, so if you haven’t we definitely recommend!

    • I have not been to Terra. Thanks for letting me know! Yeah I like to make cute animals and I actually had so many more I felt bad they couldn’t make my list. haha. It’s great meeting another SD food blogger. Have you already joined the fb page?

  5. Happy New Year, Kirbie and FH!! You sure did a lot of baking this year! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in stored for us for 2012.

    • Hi Carol! I didn’t quite realize how much baking had been happening until reviewing all my old posts. I may have to cut down some to look my best for my wedding.
