Rama Thai is a popular Thai restaurant in downtown San Diego and one my work colleagues love to frequent. Mr. K and I recently dined there.
Crispy Red Snapper
We ordered this based on recommendation of our waiter. The fish fillet had a crunchy batter and was flaky and moist inside. The garlic sauce was a good balance of spicy, sweet and savory.
Pad See Ew
We always like to order this at Thai restaurants. The noodles had a good texture and there was a good amount of beef and chinese broccoli mixed in.
Shaking Beef
I like to order this dish because it’s usually made with a very tender cut of beef. Usually I see it with filet mignon. Rama’s version used rib-eye, which was still pretty tender.
Mango Sticky Rice
Of course we can never resist mango sticky rice, one of our favorite desserts.
Overall, we had a good meal here. The restaurants caters to a more American audience in terms of flavor and dishes offered, but it does a pretty good job executing the dishes.

We haven’t been here in a while, at least before pre-bogging days (pre-2006).One dish that we liked was this twice fried pork dish, so delicious.
Oh I haven’t had that one!
I love ordering pad see ew. Do you have any recommendations on which places has a really good one?
Hmm, I haven’t really had any outstanding version in SD yet. But this was one pretty good.
