These low carb, low sugar and keto-friendly gummy bears are chewy and sweet. They only need 3 ingredients. The candies store well and you can make different flavored ones.

These homemade gummy bears are easy to make and cheaper than buying them. You can make them in a variety of flavors and you can also customize them further to make them sour or have a sweet coating.
Ingredients
- Sugar-free Jello mix: You want to use the flavored gelatin mix and not the ready to eat kind. Other brands of sugar-free flavored gelatin mix should also work.
- Unflavored gelatin powder: Make sure to use powdered gelatin and not gelatin sheets
- Water: Boiling water is used to dissolve the gelatin.
How to Make Keto Gummy Bears
- The flavored gelatin mix and unflavored gelatin powder are first combined. The boiling water is then poured in and stirred until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Strain the mixture. Use a liquid dropper to add the liquid to your gummy bear molds. Refrigerate until set.
- Unmold the gummy bears and they are ready to eat.
Expert Tips
- You don’t have to use gummy bear molds, but I like to for presentation. You can use other baking molds or even just a baking pan lined with parchment paper (though it is hard to cut up the gummies because they are sticky).
- You can use whatever flavor of gelatin mix. You can also make this with regular Jello mix (not sugar-free) if you don’t need these to be sugar-free.
- You can add a little citric acid to the mixture if you prefer sour gummy bears. You can also coat the gummy bears in granular sweetener for sweeter gummy bears.
- If you prefer gummies with more natural coloring, I’ve also made keto gummy bears with fruit tea.

Hi Jennifer, I get a ‘chuckle’ everytime I see Kirbie’s Recies. Yourself in my town, I live on a street by the same name. Although it’s spelled slightly different (Kirby) it reminds me of all the great recipes you’ve been so gracious to share with me. Thank you so much!
Bill
Aw, thank you for thinking of my recipes!
This would be fun for my White Trash party welcoming home my niece back home from overseas. Do you think I could add Vodka for an adult kick?
I haven’t tried that but I think it should be okay!
