I really enjoy colorful foods and always end up eating more of something when I think it’s pretty like this beet hummus. It’s so pretty, isn’t it? And the color is completely natural. I’ve been seeing beet hummus recipes pop up lately but never got around to trying to make it. I kept seeing recipes with long ingredient lists and I wasn’t too excited. Summer is supposed to be easy, right?

BUSH’S® Hummus Made Easy

You might remember I was introduced to BUSH’S® Hummus Made Easy, which you find in the bean aisle at the grocery store. I previously made BUSH’S®  Made Easy Roasted Red Pepper Hummus served in individual pita chip bowls and I’ve also made Black Bean Hummus.

So, when I saw all those complicated beet hummus recipes, I thought I would try out BUSH’S® Classic Hummus Made Easy to make my own version because it already contains a mix of olive oil, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice. All you need to do is add a can of BUSH’S® garbanzo beans, cooked beets and blend at high speed until smooth. Super easy!

What I love about BUSH’S® Classic Hummus Made Easy BUSH’S® is that you can use it to make traditional hummus or you can use it as a base to create different flavored hummus like this beet hummus.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

step by step photos showing how to combine the ingredients in a food processor

Just pop all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend them all together until smooth!

When I was done making this beet hummus, I could barely contain my excitement! It’s so easy to make and came out so lovely. I really loved the addition of the beet flavor, which was present but did not overpower the lemon, garlic and tahini flavors.

I served it up in a bowl along with some veggies for dipping, but this hummus is so good I was tempted to eat it straight from the spoon! I can’t wait to try to make some other flavors, like avocado or pesto.
