We recently visited Crêpe Coop, which specializes in Asian street style crepes, loaded with a variety of ingredients and served in portable cone shape. They have two location in Orange County and we visited their original location inside Anaheim Packing District.
I’ve been obsessed with this style of crepes lately. I’ve eaten them in Taipei, Tokyo, San Diego, Cupertino, Los Angeles and Anaheim. And out of all the ones I’ve tried, I think Crêpe Coop makes the prettiest ones. They also have a huge selection of toppings to choose from.
You can choose from one of their “tried and true” crepes or build-your-own.
Original batter, Nutella, strawberries, mangoes, green tea ice cream, fruity pebbles and chocolate sauce
This was my custom creation. Each crepe costs about $9.00, depending on how many toppings you add, but the crepe is quite big and definitely enough to feed two. I would have loved to try another one with the red velvet batter, but that would have been too much sugar in one sitting.
The crepe texture was a little bit thicker than I’m used to, and a few sections were slightly gummy. But I think they need their crepes to be thicker to hold up all the toppings so well. It was still enjoyable though and I loved how pretty it came out.
Overall, we had a good visit here and would come back. The prices are comparable to other crepe places I’ve visited, and they are very generous with the topping portions and they make beautiful cones.
