Peet’s Coffee

Recently, I was sent a sample box of Peet’s coffee to try as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program. When I opened my box, I was excited to see two bags of Peet’s coffee along with a travel thermos. I love thermos cups.

Inspired with so much coffee, I decided to save money and brew my own coffee at home to bring to work with my new cup.

The two coffees provided were Cafe Solano and Cafe Domingo. I adored the aromatic smell when I first opened the bags of coffee. I just wanted to bury my face in the coffee grounds. I settled for scooping some out instead.

The Cafe Domingo is described on the website as ” smooth and balanced medium roast with hints of toffee sweetness and a clean, crisp finish.”  The Cafe Solano is described as “a lively yet perfectly rounded cup with floral notes and a subtle fruit essence.” Taste-wise, I preferred the Cafe Domingo because it had a stronger, richer coffee taste.
The coffee mug was a little disappointing. The lid opening was a little hard to open and close and it didn’t keep my coffee hot for very long.

The coffee paired well with the pumpkin pound cake I recently made. The cake is a tad on the sweet side so the coffee was the perfect compliment.

I received the box of Peet’s coffee as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program. The coffee was free but I was not compensated for this review and my opinions are my own.

For those interested in checking out these two blends of coffees, Peet’s is currently offering a coupon for $1.50 off or $3.00 off if you share the offer with three others.
