The Milk Bar

The Milk Bar is a milkshakes and cookies dessert bar located next to and owned by the team behind Streetcar Merchants of Fried Chicken, Doughnuts and Coffee. As you may recall, I first visited during their soft opening phase earlier this year.

We’ve visited a few times since then and now that they’ve settled in, I thought it was time for an updated post.

They offer a selection of fresh baked cookies and cereal bars everyday and you can turn the cookies and cereal bars into ice cream sandwiches. Our giant frosted flakes cereal bar was split in half and filled with cookies and cream flavored ice cream.

This was a little bit of sugar overload for me, but I did really like how it looked.

The main focus for The Milk Bar are their milkshakes– with an emphasis on cereal milkshakes– and they have a huge list to choose from. After much deliberating, I chose this adorable strawberry tiny toast cereal flavor.

The milkshake was quite sweet, which was to be expected especially combined with cereal milk. It did taste of strawberry toast cereal milk and I enjoyed it, but couldn’t handle more than a few sips without it being just too much sugar for me.

Overall, I think this is a fun stop for those looking for a milkshake or wanting dessert with your fried chicken. You can bring your items over and eat them at Streetcar’s dining tables if you are already dining at Streetcar, but you do have to order and pay separately at The Milk Bar’s register. I do think their milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches are a little on the pricey side but I do like all the flavors offered.
