Trader Joe’s April Edition

This post is a little late but a few weeks ago I stopped in to Trader Joe’s to pick up some groceries and try a few new items. Here are a few of the things I bought:

This was my favorite new find from my purchases. It combines so many of my loves: coffee, toffee and shortbread. They are coffee flavored shortbread cookies with crushed crunchy toffee pieces mixed in. They are quite good and the box didn’t last long.

This is just so pretty, especially with the honeycomb inside. I am excited to use it for a future recipe.

I love falafel, so I am excited to try this out. I’ll be making them soon.

Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels with no salt on the pretzels

I enjoy peanut butter filled pretzels but I don’t like the salt on the pretzels, so I was excited to find that Trader Joe’s offers a version without salt. These made a nice snack.

Pecan Praline Granola

I’ve been working my way through Trader Joe’s variation granola options. I prefer larger clusters of granola, so I was intrigued by how big these pecan praline ones are. I’m not a huge fan of maple syrup flavored foods so I would have preferred a different flavor, but they made a nice snack.

Sparkling Pink Lemonade

I can never resist pink drinks. It’s a pretty standard tasting sparkling lemonade but I do like the bottle.

Since I do these Trader Joe’s posts every month, I also wanted to highlight a few of the items I always buy during my visits:

Current Trader Joe’s Grocery List

  • Trader Joe’s Coconut Cream (Trader Joe’s version is much thicker than all the other premium coconut creams I’ve tried. I am able to make whipped cream with it even without refrigerating it first.)
  • Trader Joe’s milk (their half gallon is cheaper than all my other local grocery stores)
  • Trader Joe’s Ginger Ale (their brand of ginger ale is more ginger-y than most)

That’s it for now! As always, please let me know if there are any new products I should try!

  1. I love this post. I was just there and would have bought the cookies. I never know what new things to try. This is very helpful.

  2. The Raspberry Kringle is a must try! 🙂
