It’s that time again! I stopped by Trader Joe’s to pick up some of their new and featured items. Even though there hasn’t been a Fearless Flyer since June, they have debuted several new products I wanted to try. Here is what I bought!
Organic Purple Maize Flakes
This is one of my favorites from this month’s haul. They are corn flakes, but made with purple corn and brown rice flour. They are a little thicker than regular corn flakes, making them very crunchy.
I really love the texture and the purple color. I’ve been snacking on these nearly every day and will have to buy a new box soon. I’m pretty sure this will become a regular item I stock up on when I visit Trader Joe’s.
Cultured Coconut Milk
This is basically a yogurt made with coconut milk. While it tastes creamy, the texture is a little firmer than regular yogurt. It reminds me of a coconut pudding made with agar.
I do enjoy the flavor though and would get it again.
Ranch Seasoned Crispy Chickpeas
These are light and crispy and I enjoy the ranch flavoring. I think they make a good snack.
Organic Cold Brew Mocha Nut Latte
I was especially excited to try this one. I do love the flavor, especially the nutty addition from the cashew and almond milk. It is a little grainy though and I also thought it was a little pricey at $4.49 a bottle.
Coconut Cold Brew Concentrate
This is another one of my favorite’s from this month’s haul. I drink a lot of cold brew and I really like the natural coconut flavors in this concentrate.
It’s quite a strong cold brew, even after diluting it with water and milk, but I like my cold brew coffees on the stronger side, so I really enjoyed this. We’ll definitely be getting this one again.
Caramel Ginger Popcorn
I’m all about ginger flavored foods these days. I like the addition of the ginger crystals as it cuts into some of the sweetness of the caramel.
Cauliflower Pizza Crust
I forgot to pick this up last month, so I made to sure to get one this time. I haven’t tried it yet though. I hope it’s good!
Honey Butter Flavored Potato Chips
This isn’t a new item but it’s the first time I’ve tried it. Both the butter and honey flavors are quite subtle. Honestly, I wouldn’t know what to guess if I was doing a blind taste test. However, I did find the flavor to be quite pleasant. It’s a little sweet and a little savory. Also I couldn’t help noticing how pretty the chips were. They are a pale golden yellow and remind me of how chips used to look.
That’s it for now! As always, please share your favorites with me. I always love trying more Trader Joe’s products!
