I realize we are already two weeks into July, but I didn’t get around to posting about this until now. And since most of the items are likely still available at Trader Joe’s, it’s still pretty relevant.

Since we moved, we stopped getting the Fearless Flyer. I’m not sure what happened. I’ve tried to get us back on the mailing list, but it just doesn’t seem to be working. I know that there is an online version of the flyer and of course I could always go into the store and pick one up, but it just isn’t the same. I used to get so excited when the Fearless Flyer popped in my mailbox and I’d read it front to back and then make a list of all the stuff I planned on buying.

Recently, I was at Trader Joe’s during their June Fearless Flyer and picked up some items. Here are some of the highlights:

“Hold the Cone” mini ice cream cones

These were so adorable, I had to get them. They are like mini versions of Nestle’s Ice Cream Drumsticks, with the crunchy sugar cone and ice cream scoop dipped in chocolate. Loved, loved these. Perfect if you are craving a small dessert and I’d imagine these would be pretty cool for a party too.

Turkey Corn Dogs

In honor of Fair season, TJ features it’s turkey corn dogs. I honestly couldn’t tell I was eating a turkey dog, but the corn dog coating was pretty good and toasted up nicely in the toaster oven.

Spinach & Kale Greek Yogurt Dip

I love spinach dip with vegetables but I try to avoid buying it since it’s full of calories, so I was really intrigued by this healthier option that uses greek yogurt and adds kale. I was afraid it would taste “too healthy” but I actually really loved it. It’s bold and flavorful, heavy on onion and garlic, so it still has the addictive quality of regular spinach dip. I’m buying this from now on. Mr. K is pretty anti-kale though, so he wasn’t a fan of this one.

Dried mandarin orange slices

I was surprised to see these because I’ve tried drying oranges before in my fruit dryer and it’s quite hard to do. Once they are dehydrated there’s pretty much nothing left behind other than skin. These did indeed maintain their juices, but were super sweet. They actually tasted a lot like dried mangoes.

Apple smoked thick-cut bacon

This was pretty good. I love thick-cut bacon with a smokey flavor.

That’s it for now. We actually also bought a bunch of different kinds of tortilla chips for salsa dipping but I didn’t document them. The unsalted ones were surprisingly delicious. If you have any new Trader Joe’s finds, please let me know! Have a great weekend everyone!
