Boyfriend and I went to Azul’s a few weeks ago for brunch when our friends came to visit.  My previous posts on Azul’s brunch can be found here and here. When I first went to Azul’s for brunch, I thought it was just alright.  It’s slowly grown on me as I have explored the menu and found quite a few tasty entrees. The best part though is that it’s not crowded and has a gorgeous view of La Jolla cove.

I didn’t take any pictures of the view this time, but here are shots from my previous visit.

Also, I love how brunch comes with pastries, fruit and a brunch cocktail.

I chose a warm crab and artichoke pastry.

The puff pastry was light and airy.  There were lots of crab chunks inside.  It was topped with hollandaise sauce and poached eggs. Everything blended well together.  I really liked it.

One of my friends ordered the steak and eggs

My other friend ordered the double decker sandwich, which she thinks is the best sandwich she’s ever eaten.

Boyfriend ordered a “Princess Diana” omelet: fresh spinach, tomato, red onion, cream cheese & hollandaise sauce

The service was nice, the food was good and the drinks were pretty strong.  I definitely think this is a nice, quiet place to enjoy brunch with a view.
