I love making fudge in the microwave. It’s so easy! I’m compiling my holiday baking list so I thought I’d try making a peppermint fudge.

You only need three ingredients and the fudge only takes five minutes to prepare. The hardest part is waiting for it to set in the refrigerator before you slice it.

You don’t need a candy thermometer as you would for an old-fashioned fudge recipe and the steps are super easy. It’s really fool-proof and great when you want something quick.

It’s the perfect treat for the holiday season. The peppermint flavor and white chocolate are a great combination and the fudge keeps well in the refrigerator or at room temperature.

I think the white chocolate fudge is so fitting for the winter too. It reminds me of snow. If you want an easy recipe to make for holiday cookie trays or for gifting, you should try this microwave peppermint fudge.

Ingredients

  • White chocolate chips
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Crushed peppermint candies or crushed candy canes

I like this recipe with white chocolate, but you can use semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate chips to change it up.

How to Make It

Line an 8″ square baking pan with parchment paper. Cut a piece big enough so there is an overhang – this will make it easy to lift the fudge out in one piece before you slice it.

Combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Warm them in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each one. I usually do three 30-second intervals before the chocolate mixture is smooth.

Mix in the crushed peppermints and then pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle more crushed candies over the top and then chill the fudge in the refrigerator for a few hours or until it’s set.

When you’re ready to slice it, hold the parchment paper and lift the fudge out of the pan. Slice it into bite-sized pieces.

Storage Tips

The fudge will keep at room temperature for a couple of weeks or you can store it in the refrigerator. Keep it tightly wrapped with plastic wrap in an airtight container.

Can you melt the chocolate on the stove?

Yes, if you don’t have a microwave, you can melt the chocolate and milk in a double boiler on the stovetop. Do this over lightly simmering water and be careful not to get any water in the chocolate mixture.

Can you freeze white chocolate peppermint fudge?

Yes, it freezes great! Store the fudge in a freezer bag or container and it will keep well for a couple of months. Thaw it at room temperature before serving it.

I’ll definitely make a batch of this fudge for Christmas this year. I might double the batch so I have enough to keep for ourselves, too!

  1. I have 2 ingredients 16oz jar of any peanut butter and vanilla icing place in microwave bowl both ingredients for 3 minutes. Stir until creamy put into 9×13 cookie sheet. Put into frig for 5mins then cut into squares. Plus u can roll into balls and dip into chocolate for easy buckeyes. I use sugar free icing and peanut butter and know one believes this is sugar free.

  2. How awesome and simple! I like these 3 ingredient recipes. Even though I don’t like white chocolate, i do like the look of it. Very wintery. Also because it’s fudge, it’s kind of rich, so this recipe can probably go a long way if you cut the pieces really small and put them into candy cups on your dessert tray.

The microwave can be your best friend when making candies! 🙂

    • I can never eat too much fudge since it’s so sweet, but I love how easy it is to make. I’m torn as to which flavor I want to make to gift.

  3. Wow… three ingredients! I’m about to try this recipe for our office holiday party. Thanks, Kirbie! 🙂 Yummmm, I love white chocolate!
