Here is my Sunday schedule.

Morning:

Breakfast Pitaya Bowls. Starting with something healthy before the indulgent eats. Also hoping that starting with this will help me make better eating choices for the rest of the day.

Clean House. Its a Chinese custom that you are supposed to start the new year with a clean house, so we’ll spend the morning vacuuming and scrubbing.

Mid-Day:

Dumplings and Noodles. Another Chinese tradition. Dumplings are supposed to bring wealth and noodles are for long life. We’ll head to one of the restaurants in the Convoy area to make sure we consume both.

Afternoon:

I’m going to infuse both Lunar New Year and Super Bowl snacks into one. I’ll be making Sriracha Buffalo Cauliflower and Salt and Pepper Wings. I’ll also be serving hummus, tortilla chips and salsa, guacamole, Doritos, and Calbee snacks.

Calbee was nice enough to send me an assortment of their snacks. I grew up eating their shrimp chips and always sneak a bag in my shopping cart when I’m at the Asian markets, though my new current favorite is the Jagabee. They taste just like those extra crispy french fries you sometimes find at the bottom of your fries’ basket.

Watch the Super Bowl!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. And for those celebrating, Happy Lunar New Year!
