Amorino Gelato is a chain of gelato shops with locations worldwide, including one in Los Angeles. They are most known for shaping their gelato scoops into roses and allowing unlimited flavor choices.
The gelato served at the boutiques are all natural–no artificial flavors or colors. They also offer gelato macarons and drinks, but I was here for the amorino rose gelato cones.
After you choose a cone size, you can choose as many flavors of gelato as you want. I have no idea what the max amount a person has tried before. I ended up choosing four and my friend chose five. The gelato is scooped out in thin sheets with a tool similar to an icing spatula, creating the individual rose petals. I watched them very carefully in the hopes of being able to recreate it at home one of these days.
How pretty your rose is depends on who your scooper is. I saw some gorgeous full blooming roses on Instagram but mine was a little uneven and small.

Mr. K’s 3 flavor one:
We really enjoyed the gelato here. It was creamy and smooth and I love that they don’t use artificial coloring. The fruit sorbet ones were a little too tart for my liking, but otherwise, I liked most of the flavors. It’s a little on the pricey side, but I thought it was worth trying.
