The sweltering heat these past few weekends have had me craving an ice cream diet. Wouldn’t that be fun? We recently stopped in at Blush Desserts for their macaron ice cream sandwiches.
The dessert shop has changed quite a bit since I first posted about them. New team, more desserts and drinks, and they even serve cocktails.
Cap’n Crunch Macarons with Green Tea Ice Cream
Our main focus for our visit was their macaron ice cream sandwiches. I liked that they also sprinkled crushed cereal over the ice cream. The macaron shells themselves didn’t really taste like Cap’n Crunch cereal to me, but they had a nice chew to them.
Fruity Pebbles Macarons with Cookies n’ Cream Ice Cream
Mr. K chose this combination. Again, the cereal crusted ice cream was a nice touch and gave the ice cream macaron sandwiches such a colorful appearance. You could taste the fruity pebbles flavor more with these macarons as well.
Blush Pink Lemonade
We also ordered a blush colored lemonade, which really hit the spot on this hot and sticky day.
Overall, we enjoyed our ice cream sandwiches here. The place was quite crowded when we went and we’ll have to come by again to try some of those cocktails.

You are wise starting this new diet. How do you rate the ice cream? I usually like Ben and Jerry’s or Hagaan Daz super premium type ice cream.
I’m not sure what ice cream they are using here, but I liked it!
