Cookies and Cream Popcorn

My latest obsession has been making my own flavored popcorn. It’s easy to do and the possibilities are endless. You can make sweet ones like caramel, chocolate or savory ones like truffle and curry.

Recently I made a cookies and cream one. There are crushed Oreo cookies and white chocolate drizzled over the freshly popped popcorn. The cold weather has made me want to sit indoors and cozy up with movies. These are a perfect snack.

  • 1/4 cup popcorn kernels or 1 bag plain microwave popcorn popped
  • 3/4 cup chopped white chocolate
  • 6-8 Oreos crushed

  • Pop popcorn according to instructions. Melt chocolate in a microwave proof bowl for about 1 minute. Stir until completely melted. You may need to microwave more at 30 second intervals, stirring after each 30 seconds until chocolate is completely melted.
  • Pour finished popcorn into an oversized bowl. Drizzle chocolate over popcorn. Add in crushed Oreos. Stir with a large spoon until chocolate is mixed, coating most of the popcorn.

  1. We used to coat popcorn in white chocolate all the time, but I never thought of adding Oeereos. Sounds so good!
