Nutella Banana Milkshake
This Nutella Banana Milkshake is only two ingredients and you don’t need any ice cream or milk to make it. The frozen bananas when blended have a similar texture to ice cream making this a creamy cold “milkshake” with the chocolate hazelnut flavor from Nutella.
There’s no ice cream or milk in this ice cream-like shake. You can make it completely dairy-free if you use homemade Nutella.
This milkshake is made using nice cream which is frozen blended bananas. A few years ago, I discovered that you can make banana ice cream using only frozen bananas. When frozen bananas are blended, it becomes very creamy, like ice cream. Using this same concept, I made this Banana Nutella milkshake.
You only need two ingredients to make this Nutella banana milkshake and if you drink it right away, it tastes similar to drinking a creamy milkshake even though there’s no vanilla ice cream in it.
Ingredients
- Frozen banana
- Nutella
How to Make It
You can make this milkshake in a high powdered blender or food processor. Just place the frozen banana and Nutella in it and blend until until smooth.
You can top it with whipped cream (or dairy-free whipped topping), sprinkle chocolate chips on top, or grated chocolate if you want to dress it up.
It’s best enjoyed as soon as it’s made while the milkshake is cold and thick.
What I like about this recipe is that it’s the perfect drink any time of day, even for breakfast. Plus it’s so easy it quick to whip one up without any effort.

I love bananas and nutella together. I like to add a few almonds and a splash of milk. I think it’s a great way to start the day.
